so the day hadn't really gone so well for vara weasley. why? well, in doing morning warm-up, as she did nearly every morning, she had pulled something mid-stretch. the embarrassment of waddling down to the hospital wing, as well as the awkwardness of just lying on a cot next to some third years wasn't that fun. after all she had to maintain a little bit of dignity, and she didn't feel like telling third years she basically pulled her muscle while squatting. so instead she went for the next best thing and asked one of her friends to get ezra so that she at least wouldn't be alone for the waiting period. plus, she still had to ask him for permission to let winter take her to the train station. she hoped it would go over well but frankly she never knew with her boyfriend and wouldn't even try to predict the outcome. best, he agreed and just changed topics, worst, he'd have a bitch fit in the middle of the infirmary. though she couldn't blame him if he did. it was basically saying "hey let me be alone with my ex boyfriend for my last moments of schooling ever instead of you." but she needed it. this was her chance to say goodbye for good, and start a completely new chapter in her life dancing in the muggle world.
while she knew that ezra wasn't exactly thrilled about her decision to leave and start training for a dance career, he accepted it. not with as much enthusiasm as winter had, but he did. during the summer he still came to her shows, and that was how she knew that he was going to stick around. hell, he put up with her rambling about what a dick winter was for a good few weeks, and still wanted to be with her after words. that was comforting to say the very least. they had a comfortable relationship, and that was what vara thought she needed. and so she sat, watching from out the window at whatever was happening outside, just wanting him to come up and entertain her as best he could manage.

evan was in a relatively good mood today. he hadn't done anything to put himself in a mood. he was just shooting the breeze with friends as he usually did most days. he had no class right now, or maybe he did. he didn't really pay any real attention to those details. he was talking, and he had decided out of pure boredom, to go practice some quidditch. his favorite sport in the history of sports. it couldn't get much better for him than that.
well it could if you counted his girlfriend. his friends often would joke that vara was just his 'of the month'. but he insisted it wasn't true, and anyone that would make a joke like that in front of her deserved the fist. it wasn't true though. he could feel himself liking her. she was so sweet and passionate. surprisingly she was a hufflepuff, he usually didn't go for those girls. they were always so kind, they couldn't really keep up with his 'bad boy' lifestyle. vara didn't seem to notice so he never showed it.
mid conversation he was interrupted by some kid. right before ezra was about to chew him out for getting in the middle of a conversation, he was informed it was about vara. something along the lines of she hurt herself trying to do a dance position. he shook his head and hastily made his way to the hospital wing. he tried hard to not remind her too often about how much he didn't want her to dance full time. he really wasn't a fan of it, he felt like she could be using her talent for something else. but if it made her happy he'd deal with it as much as possible.
he smiled as he walked into the room, noticing her red hair first as always. he walked towards her cot, setting his broom down beside her. "hey you." he smiled kissing her forehead. "where does it hurt and how can i make it better?" he smiled, moving his hair away from his face. he loved how adorable she was and how beautiful she looked. he could be a sweetheart when he wanted to. especially to vara.

vara gave a smile when she saw the slytherin walk in, broom in hand, and watched him come over. that was her man. she nabbed ezra dredger. she had always been invisible until the hair change, and even then she stayed off the social radar outside of one or two parties every once in a while. usually she and winter cut the crap, got some fire whiskey quickly, and then went off to a secluded area. that changed after the break up and soon she went to almost every party being thrown, dancing with anyone that came to her and attracting attention for it for sure. it was right at the end of the previous year when she attracted the attention of her current boyfriend. call it chance that they locked eyes at a quidditch match. she knew of him already, everyone did, but she never was very sure if ezra knew that she existed previously. maybe the weasley girl was just at the right place at the right time. maybe they were meant to be, and all of what happened was so that they would be together. but for now she never knew for sure. "i was being stupid and just pulled something in my thigh, i think..." she looked at him, smiling from ear to ear and then leaning up and kissing his lips gently and tenderly. as much as other people didn't think it was possible, ezra was incredibly loving if you caught him in the right moment. that moment was always when they were alone, but she didn't mind too much. it made their intimate moments more special, and she'd miss that when she went away. "but i do need to alert you to a slight change of plan in terms of my getting to the train when i leave school.." the redhead paused and gave a soft frown, trying to be as cute as possible. "my daddy wants winter to take me to the station... it's not really up to me right now." okay well it was completely up to her actually. it was her choice to have winter take her to the station, like a last hurrah and a last goodbye for that chapter of her life... not being with winter anymore, not having to see his face at every corner she turned. it was for the closure that she really needed to move on with her life.
