albus could instantly see that his life had grown out of his control. his own quidditch team wanted to rip each other's throats apart which on any regular was quite fun to watch but on a day where he wanted... no needed to get practice going it was impossible. it seemed as though three of his members had more drama than all of the team combined and to be completely honest, albus didn't even want to know. he hated drama, every little bit of it. it drove him mad. he didn't understand why people cause it and why other people followed it. why couldn't everyone just not want it? albus could never truly understand that. however he was never one to judge, when he was barely a toddler he had been caught up in father's fame something his parents never wanted. he had pushed out of it so quickly it hurt but it was for the best.
they moved the entire potter family to Godric Hollow's and rebuilt Harry's old home. that was were albus grew up, the only home that lily knew. honestly albus could not have been happier to grow out of the limelight than it, james had been most affected and look how he had turned out. poor fellow. albus looked the team before him then called practice quits. he left the field without another word making his way to the entrance hall. he reached it, still in his practice clothes, and sighed, running his arms over his face. it was truly fasinating the way people slowly killed themselves. albus wondered if maybe he was one of them. he hoped not but there was always that pinch of maybe. had every action he ever done affected him? affected his personality? footsteps startled him out of his thoughts. tag: open! word count: 301 notes: short and reusing a starter but fucks not given.

for some reason, jayden always kind of found it funny when the team would start fighting or when there was drama going on. it was probably because he never had much involvement in it, but he figured he should still be more worried. after all, their team's performance was on the line with each fight. he supposed that as long as people got along and got over their crap before a game, all was good, right? well, that was one of the many reasons he wasn't named captain. it wasn't a very big loss to the slytherin; he didn't want to have that kind of responsibility. it meant he'd have to be more serious, and that wasn't very much fun.
he had been just watching the scene unfold in front of him when albus had called for practice to be over. a frown made its way to his lips - over already? jayden hadn't even gotten to participate in the drama that caused albus to seen so upset, which was a huge let down. if something was going to cancel quidditch practice, he wanted to at least participate in it to have a few extra kicks. noticing that pretty much everyone else was grumbling and going to change, jay figured he should go after albus. you know, try and talk to him.
not bothering to change, jay jogged to catch up with the other male. once he caught up, jayden grabbed onto the other's robes to make sure he didn't try to escape. " man, you alright? seemed a bit tense back there, " he asked even though he had a pretty good idea as to what was going on. it was still polite to ask, though, so he did. plus, it would be much easier to get this conversation going if albus was willing to talk about everything. wow i sound like a girl. he thought, but he shrugged it off. it didn't really matter at all what gender he sounded like.

was albus even cut out to be a quidditch captain? it was in his blood and that was what everyone kept telling and he wanted to believe that, he really did but evidence kept telling him that it wasn't. that he was a bad leader, that everyone was doing what ever they wanted. that they didn't want him as a captain. hell albus didn't want himself as a captain. he was a fraud, he was only captain because he was a potter and he knew it. everyone knew it. it was horrible but it was the truth. none of the slytherins really respected him and he knew it. he wished he could at least pretend that he didn't but he knew. the only one that did was jade and that way because she was his best friend. hell without jade on the team albus was pretty sure they would have torn him to shreds by now.
that was around the time albus heard someone catch up to him, he instantly figured it would be jade. it was the only reason that albus jumped slightly when he heard the male voice. he turned and saw a fellow teammate, jayden andrews. albus placed an arm behind his neck and tried to shake his head. "nah man," he spoke quickly. "just tired of the bloody bull that the team keeps putting me through," and i think i'm falling for my best friend but albus kept the rest to himself for his sanity. though him and jay were team mates they didn't speak that much out of albus telling him where to go and how to play. they had lived with each other for six years, strange how so much of it he had focussed on jade. and practically no one else, albus wasn't sure what he was supposed to do without her. then again, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to with her either. tag: jayden! word count: 322 notes: heyyy
