Xavier was sitting alone in a corner of the library with five or more books spread out in a circle around him. He was supposed to be working on an essay for Potions class but had instead gotten caught up playing with his white cat, Caspar. Caspar had decided that trying to paw at his curls would be a good idea. Xavier's hair was loose and curly and slightly damp from a recent shower so it was slightly longer for his cat to attack.
He got his cat to roll onto his belly and began petting him lazily while flipping through a few of the books, laughing occasionally when Caspar would get the energy to try and attack his hand. "Stop it" He pouted at his cat after the fifth time and pulled his hand away. Caspar stared at him for a moment before moving to curl up in his lap. Xavier let out a small sigh and picked up his quill so that he could try to work on his essay again. He just really couldn't concentrate today and was bored with his homework. Potions would be important if he wanted to become a healer but he didnt see how knowing how to make the good luck potion would help him.

jayden had been, like usual, procrastinating his homework for way too long. luckily for him, none of it had been seeming to take too long to do. he managed to get done with his charms and transfiguration homework in no time at all; sure, the papers were probably crap, but who cares? he was great at doing everything in practice, so he couldn't really care less about the written papers. none of this school stuff was helping him on his career path, either! whether he became a professional quidditch player or went to work with dragons, most of the stuff here wouldn't help him. dragons were tricky buggers . . . they should have a class on how to work with dragons. jay's heart sped up at the thought - he'd sign up for that right away!
sadly, now was the time to work on his history essay. he wished he could have paid someone to pay to do his essay, but the teachers were watching him now after what happened last time. jayden reluctantly went to the library, his bengal cat at his heels. she stalked silently next to him as he found a place to sit down and start on the essay that might cause him to get little to no sleep. the cat jumped up on the table and plopped herself down on jayden's papers after he'd laid them all out. jay just looked at his cat, wondering what he was going to do. " hey, nala, get your fat arse off my papers. i gotta get started, ya'know. " he whispered, not caring he was talking to a cat. he rolled his eyes as she just meowed softly at him, not moving.
well, guess i can't get that started. it was a bummer, but not really. it was just a good excuse for jayden to not start the essay; he wasn't going to complain about that. the slytherin looked around to see if there was anyone that he could occupy himself with while he waited for nala to decide she was bored and move. finding the perfect person - an adorable guy with a cat curled cutely in his lap - jayden got out of his chair and walked towards the guy. he gave a quick look back at nala to see if she had moved. naturally, she hadn't even looked up to watch him walk away. when jayden approached the ravenclaw, he leaned over to rest his arms on the desk, fairly close to the boy, looking over at what he was doing; the male seemed to be having his own essay troubles. " you look bored. want some entertainment? " he asked with a friendly - yet cocky - grin.
